What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, patients, and staff with inquiries and directions while upholding site-specific policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with site protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and maintain a secure environment.
  • Operate access control systems and other security-related technology as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
