- Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting visitor and contractor entry and exit activity at a government location.
- Monitor entry points, help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate with staff and/or visitors regarding identification requirements, prohibited items, and posted rules.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
- Operate access control systems, maintain accurate logs and records, and support badge, key, and/or credential accountability in accordance with site policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess an active DoD Confidential clearance.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
