Security Officer Armed Patrol Commander

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Commander in Clifton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal in a healthcare location where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and donors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter points, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior while supporting established check-in and identification procedures.
- Assist with de-escalation, directional support, and routine security-related presence in public and restricted areas to help to deter issues and support daily operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
