Security Officer Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Colorado Springs, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will respond to site needs with agility and reliability, work as part of a team, and bring integrity and care to each interaction throughout your shift.

- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, while observing and reporting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access to the location by checking visitors, documenting arrivals and departures, and following site procedures for authorized entry and restricted areas.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and help to deter unwanted behavior through a visible presence and consistent application of post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
