Corrections Security Officer - Entry Screening

This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in state. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken in accordance with site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access control, and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions when required, and assist with directing visitors and/or deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts and/or local responders, following post orders, and helping to address issues that may impact the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
