You will help maintain an orderly environment, support security-related operations, and use your valid driver’s license as needed for this driving position. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access to the facility by monitoring entry points, verifying authorization, screening visitors and/or deliveries as required, and maintaining visitor and access logs.
- Help to deter unauthorized entry by observing access-control systems, reporting malfunctioning equipment, and escalating access concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate facility personnel and emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, interior areas, and perimeter locations while documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
