As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, guests, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public cultural and recreational location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed foot patrols throughout grounds, walkways, gathering areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and public spaces, provide directions and assistance to guests, and help support orderly use of the location during daily operations and special events.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and request additional support when needed.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
