Security Officer Driver Patrol

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech and data center location as an unarmed patrol officer with driving responsibilities. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, access points, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying unusual conditions at a large-scale data and infrastructure location.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and follow site access protocols for employees, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Support daily operations by reporting maintenance concerns, escalating security-related issues, and assisting with site procedures during shifts where working environments and conditions may vary.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
