Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Job in Columbus, Ohio

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at financial institution locations while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, parking facilities, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
