Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Support Job in Columbus, Ohio

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Support in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and assist visitors with professionalism. You will use clear communication and strong customer service while contributing to a secure environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an airport authority location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, public areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
- Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
