Security Officer Full Time Vehicle Patrol Driver Job in Columbus, Ohio

As a Security Officer Full Time Vehicle Patrol Driver in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a leading data center location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support a secure environment, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Bring integrity, reliability, and a collaborative mindset to a caring, innovative team.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the data center campus, interior areas, exterior grounds, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure access points to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors in accordance with established site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while supporting a professional and service-oriented environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
