Security Officer Full Time Visitor Reception Job in Columbus, Ohio

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Reception in Gahanna, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a utilities location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will help create a professional, secure environment while supporting security-related procedures with integrity, teamwork, and the caring, reliable approach that defines Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk by greeting visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel in a professional manner.
- Monitor access to the utility location by verifying visitor credentials, issuing temporary access badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests according to site-specific procedures.
- Answer and route incoming telephone calls, provide general information, and communicate routine requests to appropriate site contacts.
- Observe lobby and entry activity, report suspicious activity or access concerns, and help to deter unauthorized entry through courteous access-control procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and emergency response procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
