As a Security Officer - Utilities Facility Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within environments that include utility spaces and cultural institutions. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and offering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response actions as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, adapting to the unique needs of locations such as public parks and cultural sites.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including both indoor and outdoor areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
• Monitor and report irregularities, such as unusual activity or property damage, in areas related to utilities infrastructure and cultural institution facilities.
• Support the enforcement of site rules and guidelines to help to deter disruptions and promote a welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and emergency responders as required.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly report security-related concerns or potential hazards to appropriate Allied Universal contacts.
• Assist with access control procedures, including verifying credentials and/or providing directions, as needed in public gathering spaces and high-traffic venues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
