Security Officer - Distribution Center

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, verify badges and credentials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this access control role, you will provide strong customer service, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to buildings, yards, gates, and other restricted areas.
- Observe vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian activity at assigned access points, document arrivals and departures, and report unusual or suspicious activity according to post instructions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, dock areas, parking locations, and perimeter to support security-related operations, noting hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
