Security Officer Full Time Entry Control Job in Commerce City, Colorado

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Control in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Deliver outstanding customer service while communicating clearly with visitors, employees, and team members. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, maintain visitor and contractor access records, and help to deter unauthorized access to the facility.
- Coordinate vehicle, driver, and visitor access in accordance with site procedures, including directing arrivals to designated check-in areas and communicating access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying designated contacts as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
