As a Security Officer Airport Patrol Ambassador in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government airport location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control activities. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors, public agencies, and/or emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols throughout terminals, parking areas, roadways, public access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow, provide directions and general assistance to the public, and support orderly operations during peak travel periods, special events, and/or weather-related disruptions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
