As a Security Officer Dispatcher Government Site in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Position Type: Full Time / Swing Shift

Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies, while supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor radios, phones, alarms, cameras, and other communication systems to receive calls for service, prioritize requests, and dispatch personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Document incidents, service requests, and shift activity in detailed logs and reports, sharing timely updates with site leadership and/or emergency contacts as needed.
  • Coordinate responses to incidents, medical situations, alarms, and other critical events by gathering key information, relaying instructions, and helping to support an organized response.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining awareness of site operations, tracking the status of personnel, and reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and/or equipment issues according to post procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
