What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to government personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, documenting observed conditions and irregularities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
- Monitor access activity and assist with maintaining controlled entry to restricted areas by verifying authorization, observing visitor procedures, and reporting suspicious or unauthorized activity.
- Maintain required reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and operate assigned communication equipment and authorized duty equipment in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
