Security Officer Property Access Job in Darlington, South Carolina

As a Security Officer Property Access in Darlington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, assist with access control and badge processes, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving role offers the opportunity to use your communication and technology skills while working with an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and help maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
