As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, manage access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. You will use communication and technology tools to report observations and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or guests at a technology-focused corporate location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity, facility concerns, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and support the protection of sensitive business areas, equipment, and information.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
