Security Officer - Utilities Access Gate

As a Security Officer - Utilities Access Gate in Debary, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities will include managing access points, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors as per site-specific protocols.
• Assist in implementing security-related procedures and policies tailored to the needs of a utilities location.
• Provide customer service by addressing questions and concerns from staff, contractors, and visitors in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, utilizing problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any irregularities.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or hazards observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
• Support emergency response activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment at the utilities location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
