As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment within a chemical or petrochemical location. Your primary responsibilities will involve monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and helping to deter unauthorized access. You will conduct routine patrols throughout designated areas, remain visible to promote a sense of security-related presence, and provide outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. This position requires driving responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is essential. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the chemical or petrochemical location.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals seeking entry, following site-specific access control procedures.
• Provide customer service by addressing questions and directing individuals as needed, while maintaining awareness of security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report any unusual activities, security-related incidents, or policy violations in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and/or emergency responders as required during incidents or drills.
• Follow all site-specific policies, procedures, and instructions as provided by Allied Universal and the client.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required, and applicants must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
