Armed Security Officer Driving Patrol Job in Denver, Colorado

As a Armed Security Officer Driving Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. This driving post offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting riders, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding property.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, administrative areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable site procedures and use-of-force requirements.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, assist with crowd management during peak travel periods or special events, and report observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and daily logs; communicate relevant information to site representatives, dispatch, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
