Security Officer Full Time Patrol Job in Denver, Colorado

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at an educational location, you will welcome students, staff, and visitors while supporting access control, badge verification, and security-related communications. You will maintain a professional, visible presence, respond to questions and concerns, and help create a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
- Monitor access to the facility, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials as required, and maintain a professional front-desk presence.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, incident documentation, and other required reports; communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
- Help to deter unauthorized activity by observing the entrance area, reporting unusual conditions, and supporting access-control procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
