Security Officer Unarmed Retail Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Officer Unarmed Retail Patrol Full-Time in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a retail or mall location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible throughout the premises to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to guests and staff. You will also be expected to communicate clearly and respond promptly to any security-related concerns, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including both the business interior and surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Work collaboratively with site management, local authorities, and Allied Universal team members to address concerns and support a secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet; this is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
