Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver Job in Detroit, Michigan

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct visible patrols, respond to security-related situations, and provide professional customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established armed post procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking facilities, ATMs, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and maintain communication with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
