Security Officer Patrol Observation Job in Detroit, Michigan

As a Security Officer Patrol Observation in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a commercial real estate location, maintaining a visible presence that helps deter incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, report security-related concerns, assist tenants and visitors, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions, access concerns, or maintenance issues.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
