Security Officer - Warehouse

As a Security Officer - Warehouse in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic technology location where you will manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. In this customer-focused role, you will remain visible, assist with visitor and employee interactions, and communicate clearly while delivering security-related support. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and manage visitor registration processes to help support authorized access throughout the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related issues within the location.
- Support lobby and access point operations by answering questions, directing visitors, and following technology-focused site policies for deliveries, badges, and restricted areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
