Security Officer Overnight Patrol Driver Job in Durham, North Carolina

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor and vehicle activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and control access to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to access activity, incidents, and observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
