As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Hampton, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to all employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a fast-paced technology location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and sharing relevant details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require security-related follow-up.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify badges or visitor credentials as directed by site policies, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted or sensitive areas.
- Support day-to-day security-related operations by following post orders, reporting maintenance or property concerns, and assisting with crowd management, package observation, and/or directional guidance as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
