Security Officer Access Screening

As a Security Officer Access Screening Specialist in East Rockaway, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will manage access control, monitor entry activity, and support badge-related processes while helping to maintain a secure environment. This role combines technology, customer service, and strong communication, giving you the chance to make a visible impact every day. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance, operational, and/or security-related issues.
- Support screening of vehicles, deliveries, and personnel entering and leaving the location in accordance with posted procedures and industrial site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
