Security Officer - Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Driver in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so you may operate a vehicle as part of your duties. At Allied Universal, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access requirements, and follow site protocols for restricted areas, deliveries, and contractor activity.
- Support day-to-day operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, completing required logs and reports, and assisting with orderly response during emergencies or disruptions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
