Security Officer - Distribution Center Access Control

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center Access Control in Edison, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining order within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points at distribution and logistics locations to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
• Greet and assist employees, visitors, and delivery personnel in a professional manner while following site-specific protocols.
• Verify identification and credentials for individuals entering and exiting the premises according to site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
• Respond to security-related incidents and emergencies in a calm and problem-solving manner, following company and site procedures.
• Document all access control activities, incidents, and/or irregularities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site guidelines.
• Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to address security-related concerns and maintain open communication.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
