As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post in a chemical or petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a strong presence throughout the area. Your role will involve using access control systems and providing exceptional customer service to all personnel and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical facility, following site-specific procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and along the perimeter to observe and report any unusual security-related activity.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by clearly explaining site policies and escorting them as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills to address security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in logs and required reports as directed by Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with facility personnel and emergency responders during emergency response activities, following established guidelines and protocols.
• Assist with the inspection of vehicles and personnel entering and exiting the location as required by site policies.
• Maintain awareness of site hazards and adhere to all required protective measures and protocols specific to the chemical and petrochemical environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of six months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
