As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and interact professionally with the public and site personnel. - Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out assigned procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and support personnel and visitors with directions, information, and security-related assistance.
- Maintain a visible presence while following post orders, handling security-related issues professionally, and coordinating with onsite staff and/or public sector personnel during routine operations or emergencies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- Possess a corrections officer license.
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- Possess a law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
