What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or hazards according to post orders and local procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or notable observations, and communicate with supervisors, local officials, and/or first responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- Possess a corrections officer license.
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- Possess a law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
