EPPD Prisoner Processing Armed Guard
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors, law enforcement partners, and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or staff activity in accordance with post orders and government location protocols.
- Prepare accurate reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and authorized site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- Possess a Corrections Officer license.
- Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
