Security Officer - Commercial Access Control

As a Security Officer - Commercial Access Control in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment at a commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to support a welcoming atmosphere. You will also provide outstanding customer service and communication, reflecting Allied Universal’s commitment to integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Perform access control duties by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and granting or denying access as appropriate for the location.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors while following site-specific security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Support emergency response activities by following established procedures and assisting first responders when required.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain alert to potential security-related risks throughout the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
