Security Officer Armed Patrol Route Driver

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Route Driver in Elizabeth City, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to put your experience into action while representing Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, with attention to controlled movement and restricted areas.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and help to deter unauthorized access through visible presence and professional interaction.
- Work collaboratively with site personnel and public sector representatives while following post orders, reporting protocols, and applicable use of force guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
