Security Officer Electronic Access Control Job in Elizabethtown, Kentucky

As a Security Officer Electronic Access Control in Elizabethtown, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer at an automotive manufacturing location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and assist visitors and employees with professionalism. You will use computer or tablet systems to document incidents, maintain clear communication, and help create a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at an automotive manufacturing location.
- Monitor access points, verify authorization and credentials, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct individuals according to site requirements.
- Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, assist with gate operations, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, business grounds, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
