As a Security Officer Screening Technician in Ellenwood, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal belongings entering or exiting designated areas in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
- Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and document screening-related activity, irregularities, and/or prohibited items in a clear and professional manner.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to the appropriate contact when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and perimeter locations as directed, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
