As a Security Officer Security Screener in Ellenwood, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help support screening operations, monitor access points, and perform routine patrols to help identify security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Perform screening activities for individuals, packages, bags, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with site-specific protocols.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity to help support orderly site operations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access control, and/or policy concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
