Security Officer - Access Control Driver

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Elmsford, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, greeting and assisting visitors, and verifying credentials at key entry points. Your role will involve providing outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment. This is primarily a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a company vehicle as part of your daily duties. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities by maintaining a visible presence at access points.
• Follow site-specific procedures related to access control and respond to alarms or incidents as needed.
• Provide customer service by interacting professionally with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel while managing access requests.
• Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and communicating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as required.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or maintenance issues observed during the shift.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents and report findings appropriately.
• Maintain detailed logs of all access-related activities and observations according to Allied Universal and client policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
