As a Security Guard - Industrial Site - Full Time in Emporia, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned property. Your responsibilities will include monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling various areas using a company or client vehicle as required. You will also utilize technology such as computers or tablets to document activities and communicate with team members. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns within the tech, media, and telecom environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or occurrences according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
• Support access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the job state and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
