Security Officer Data Center Job in Englewood, Colorado

As a Security Officer Data Center in Englewood, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use technology to document observations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols at a technology infrastructure location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site requirements, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Report maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and other security-related observations to site leadership in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
