As a Security Guard - Healthcare Access Control in Erie, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility. Your role involves responding to various situations, assisting staff, patients, and visitors, and supporting access control efforts. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Assist with access control procedures by monitoring entrances and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all security-related incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related issues as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must meet all hospital-related requirements, including completion of required vaccines and the ability to work in sensitive hospital areas such as the morgue and assist with restraining individuals as needed.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
