Security Officer Full Time Afternoon Hospital Patrol Job in Escondido, California

As a Security Officer Full Time Afternoon Hospital Patrol in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring environment through teamwork, professionalism, and integrity while responding to routine security-related needs. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and compliance with site-specific access procedures.
- Document observations, incidents, and interactions accurately; communicate security-related concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
