Security Officer - Experienced Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer Experienced Armed Patrol in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a healthcare patrol professional, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter grounds, to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, helping to confirm that only authorized individuals enter restricted spaces and reporting unusual activity.
- Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, de-escalating routine concerns, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
