Security Officer - Full Time Driver Job in Fairfax, Virginia

As a Security Officer Full Time Driver in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with shoppers and staff, and respond to evolving needs with integrity. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements, documenting observations and incidents accurately.
- Maintain a professional presence while assisting with directions, answering questions, and supporting a welcoming environment for shoppers and tenants.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
