Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance as needed and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public services.
• Monitor entry points and public areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and document visitor activity according to post orders.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, unusual events, and incidents, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 lbs, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
